This paper examines the Turkish Banking Sector after 2000. More than twenty studies were reviewed and examined in order to have a better understanding of the main developments changes and transformations in the sector after 2000. After examining studies about the subject the findings are summarized in this paper. It is observed that there is a consensus about how the sector has been enhanced and strengthened considerably by the restructuring applications. However the rising consumer loans provided by the sector have the potential to cause the whole economy to be vulnerable to crises despite the sector's strong current position in the face of global crisis. In order to provide the best outlook of this period a SWOT analysis is utilized in this study. © EuroJournals Publishing Inc. 2012.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessGlobalizationRestructuringTurkish bankingAn overview of Turkish banking sector after 2000Review148160862-s2.0-84859085439N/AN/A
