The results show that firms with combined leadership structure are more diversified while firms with more independent directors are less diversified. There is a U-shaped relationship between ownership concentration and diversification. No significant association between country-level shareholder protection and diversification is demonstrated.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessGovernanceDiversificationAgency theoryEmerging marketsDoes governance affect corporate diversification behaviour in emerging markets?Article123812421527WOS:00049007060000110.1080/13504851.2019.16763822-s2.0-85074053268Q3Q3
