    In these two books it is underlined how social system of privileges and group identity identify women. Women from different cultures and different languages share the same struggle to gain their own voice. The characters within the books are analyzed and then the events that take place in the novel are looked over. The important theme is woman's struggle to find her voice and identity. The theme of voice has been given special emphasis because gaining one's own voice is significant to gain an identity.
