The Associations Between Deviation From the Balanced Time Perspective and Depression and Anxiety: The Moderator Role of Mindfulness in a Two-Wave Study
(Sage Publications inc, 2025) Altan-Atalay, Ayse; Ranjbar, Hamed Abdollahpour; Altintas, Seda
Deviation from the balanced time perspective (DBTP) refers to difficulties in switching between different time frames in a flexible way by considering the situational demands. DBTP is associated with higher levels of depression and anxiety. Mindfulness acts as a protective mechanism against depression and anxiety. The current study examined the moderator role of mindfulness in the relationship between DBTP and psychological distress. The participants were 243 university students (53.09% women) between ages 18 and 29 (M = 19.88, SD = 1.42) who answered self-report measures of time perspective, mindfulness, anxiety, and depression at two-time points with a five-week time interval. The results showed that the interaction between DBTP and mindfulness measured at time one could prospectively predict both anxiety and depression measured at time two. Mindfulness plays a significant moderating role in the relationship between DBTP and anxiety and depression. The data indicate that for individuals with low levels of DBTP, those with higher mindfulness experience significantly lower anxiety and depression compared to those with lower mindfulness. However, as DBTP increases, anxiety and depression levels in the high mindfulness group rise significantly, ultimately converging with those observed in the low mindfulness group. This indicates that while high mindfulness offers buffering effects against anxiety and depression, these effects diminish under increased DBTP.

Tulczyjew's Triplet With an Ehresmann Connection I: Trivialization and Reduction
(World Scientific Publ Co Pte Ltd, 2023) Esen, Ogul; Kudeyt, Mahmut; Sutlu, Serkan
We study the trivialization and the reduction of Tulczyjew's triplet, in the presence of a symmetry and an Ehresmann connection associated to it. We thus establish a geometric pathway for the Legendre transformations on singular dynamical systems.

Kadın Tiyatrosuna İmkan Olarak Clown
(Kadir Has Üniversitesi, 2013) Arol, Neslihan Zeynep; Sarıkartal, Çetin

Electromagnetic Interactions of Heavy Ions at Small Impact Parameters and Lepton Pair Productions
(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2011) Güçlü, Mehmet Cem; Yılmaz Şengül, Melek
In peripheral collisions the strong electromagnetic fields are produced since the fully stripped heavy ions moves at ultra-relativistic velocities. Lepton pairs especially the electron-positron pairs are the result of this collisions. At the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) virtual photons produce many particles such as electron-positron pairs heavy lepton (muons and tauons) pairs magnetic monopoles W-pairs b-quark pairs and possibly the Higgs. At small impact parameters the colliding nuclei make peripheral collisions photon fluxes are very large and these are responsible for the multiple photonuclear interactions. Free pair productions bound free pair productions and nuclear Coulomb excitations are important examples of such interactions and these processes play important roles in the beam luminosity at RHIC and LHC. Here we obtained bound free electron-positron pair production with nuclear breakup for heavy ion collisions at RHIC and LHC.

Merging Grid Technology with Oil Fields Power Distribution: A Smart Grid Approach
(Springer international Publishing Ag, 2024) Al-Eryani, Omar Khaled Fadhl Ali; Kayakutlu, Gulgun; Bektas, Zeynep; Kayalica, M. Ozgur
This study explores how grid technology can help improve oil fields' power distribution using a fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making approach. The study compares different grid technologies based on multiple criteria, such as technical feasibility, economic viability, environmental impact, social acceptance, and regulatory compliance. The fuzzy TOPSIS method is used because it can effectively handle both crisp and fuzzy data, as well as linguistic and numerical values. After obtaining a ranking of alternatives, the study also conducts a sensitivity analysis and a robustness check to validate the results. The results show that the hybrid grid is the most preferred option for oil fields' power distribution, followed by the smart grid, themicrogrid, the nano grid, and the conventional grid. This implies that integrating different grid technologies can provide more benefits and advantages than using a single grid technology. The study provides some implications and recommendations for oil fields to adopt or integrate different grid technologies to enhance their power systems and operations.
