Türkiye Suriye İlişkilerinde Su ve Terör Sorunu

Abstract

Siyasi istikrarsızlık açısından dünyanın en sorunlu bölgesi diyebileceğimiz Ortadoğu`nun stratejik olarak en önemli ülkelerinden ikisi olan Türkiye ve Suriye; jeopolitik ve jeostratejik konumları itibarıyla da sadece Ortadoğu`nun değil, dünyanın en önemli bölgesinde yer almaktadırlar. Her ikisi için de en uzun kara sınırını oluşturan bu iki komşu ülkenin ilişkileri de içinde bulundukları coğrafyanın önem ve hassasiyetinden önemli derecede etkilenmistir. Bu çalismada, iki ülke ilişkilerine genel olarak değinilmiş ve aralarındaki uluslararası sular ve terör sorunu incelenmiştir. Genel olarak sorunlu bir yapının hakim olduğu ilişkiler sürecinde su ve terör sorunu yaklaşık otuz yıldır süregelmektedir ve hala devam etmektedir. Dünya nüfusu hızla artmakta ve ona bağlı olarak suya duyulan gereksinim de artmaktadır. Diğer yandan da gün geçtikçe temiz su kaynakları azalmaktadır. İnsanoğlu için vazgeçilemez ve alternatifsiz olan suyun önemi de gün geçtikçe artmakta ve zaten su sıkıntısı olan Ortadoğu`da stratejik önem kazanmaktadır. İçinde bulunduğumuz yüzyılın en önemli sorunlarından biri de terör sorunudur. İki ülke ilişkilerinde önemli derecede rol oynayan bu iki konu, birbirleriyle ilişkili olduğu düşünülerek beraber ele alınmıstır. Bu iki sorunun iki ülke arasında uzun süre daha önemini koruyacağı görülmüştür.

Turkey an d Syria, as two important countries of the middle east which can be considered as the most problematic area of the world in terms of political instability; do not only locate in the most important area of the middle east but also of the world. The relations of the two countries which have the longest land border for the world and the middle east, have been affected considerably by the importance and sensibility of the area. In this study, the relations of the two countries have been mentioned roughly and the problem of international waters and terror have been searched. Generally, in the process of having a problematic structure, the problem of water and terror has continued for thirty years. The population of the world is increasing rapidly, and accordingly the need of water is increasing, too. On the other hand clean water sources are getting less day by day. For the human being the importance of the water irrevocable and unprecedented is rising and becomes more of an issue in the middle east strategically. One of the most important problem of this age is terror. These two issues which play a significant role with the relations of the two contries, have been taken considering they are both related to each other. It has been seen that these two issues will keep their ground for a long time.
