Ekümeniklik ve Fener Rum Patrikhanesi

Abstract

Lozan'da Patrikhane.nin siyasi faaliyetlerde bulunmaması karşılığında Türkiye'de kalmasına izin verilen Fener Rum Patrikhanesi, 2. Dünya Savaşından sonra güçlenen Rus Ortodoks kilisesine karşı Amerika'nın Fener Rum Patrikhanesi'ni dış politikada bir araç olarak kullanmak istemesiyle farklı bir boyut kazanmıştır. Soğuk savaş döneminde göreve gelen Bartholomeos, her fırsatta Patrikhane'nin Ekümenikliğini iddia ederek uluslararası alanda çalışmalar yapmıştır.Fener Greek Patriarchate, which was permitted to stay in Turkiye in Lausanne Peace Treaty in return for avoiding political actions, attained a different dimension when the USA wanted to use it as a means of international policy against Russian Orthodoks Church which gained power after the World War II. Bartholomeos, who became in charge during the Cold War era, carried out actions on international level by claiming that the Patriarchate is ecumenic.The aim of these efforts by the Patriarchate is to actualise a Vatican model in Istabul. To this end, the first thing to do is to exclude the Patriarchate from Turkish legislation. The next objective is to open Heybeliada Clergy Institute. In order to achieve these, the Patriarchate has been in international contacts on an intensive level and trying to create pressure on Turkiye.
