Türkiye'deki İç Mimarlık Eğitiminde Çevresel Yaklaşım

Abstract

Günümüzde binaların, tasarım, uygulama ve kullanım aşamalarında doğaya aşırı müdahale edilmekte, fazlasıyla atık meydana getirilmekte ve doğal kaynaklar sorumsuzca tüketilmektedir. Bu nedenlerle yapılar hızla artan çevre sorunlarından sorumlu tutulmaktadır. Çevre sorunlarının çözümündeyse yeni binaların ve mevcut yapıların yeniden işlevlendirilerek tasarlanmasında çevre duyarlığı önem taşımaktadır. Mesleki çevre duyarlılığının gelişim sürecinde, yaşam alanlarını biçimlendiren iç mimarlığa diğer disiplinlerle birlikte büyük sorumluluk düşmektedir. Bu kapsamda tez çalışmasının kuramsal temeli, çevresel yaklaşımların iç mimarlık alanına dair tanımlamaları, tartışmaları ve eleştirileri üzerine kurulmuştur. Çevreye duyarlı iç tanımlamaları, tartışmaları ve eleştirileri üzerine kurulmuştur. Çevreye duyarlı iç düzeyi esas alınmaktadır. Bu bağlamda tez çalışmasında, çevresel yaklaşımların Türkiye'deki iç mimarlık bölümlerinin eğitim programlarına ne ölçüde yansıdığı, ders türleri, ders kredi ağırlıkları ve ders içerikleri incelenerek, analiz edilmiştir. Analizler doğrultusunda Türkiye'deki içmimarlık eğitiminde çevresel yaklaşımın zorunlu ve seçmeli derslerin ağırlıkları ve içerikleri kapsamında oldukça sınırlı kaldığı saptanmıştır.

Nowadays, there is excessive intervention to the nature during the design, implementation and application stages of buildings. This lead to great amounts of waste generation and irresponsible develops of consumption of natural resources. For these reasons, buildings are held responsible for contributing to the rapidly growing environmental problems. As a part of addressing environmental problems, environmental awareness is important in the design of new buildings and the reuse of ones. At this point, interior architects hold a great responsibility as it is important to assign new functions to existing buildings with an environmental design approach. For this reason, the theoretical basis of this thesis is based on the identification, discussion and critique of the environmental approaches in the field of interior architecture. For environmentally sensitive interior architectural practice, knowledge and consciousness on this subject is important for students who are future interior architects. In this context, environmental approaches in the interior architecture programs in Turkey were analyzed by examining the types of courses, course credits and course contents. As a result, it is determined that the weight and content of compulsory and elective courses of the environmental approach to the interior architecture education in Turkey remains very limited. After the analysis, a survey was conducted in three universities with different levels of environmental approaches in their interior architecture curricula. The survey was conducted with students who are about to complete interior architecture education program in one of those universities and are enrolled their final projects in the 2010-11 spring semester. According to the results of the survey, no direct relation is found between the education program and the student?s professional consciousness of environmental design. By doing so an exposition of the findings intended for providing consciousness about environmental design during education process and a discussion of the role of environmentally sensitive design approach in interior architecture education are aimed.
