Abstract

This thesis aims to examine Konstantin Stanislavsky's acting method through the concepts of continuity and pause, which are critical elements for his time, by focusing on the effects of modernization on the art of theatre. As a pioneer through his efforts to systematize the art of acting in a period of radical changes for both his country and the world, Stanislavsky’s emphasis on continuity and the element of pause will be analyzed through the lens of the specific time experience of his era.
