In this study the epSOS project of the European Union on establishing an EU-wide E-Health network was analyzed main challenges highlighted and the limitations evaluated. Currently the European Union with its epSOS project is on its way to pilot cross-border eHealth services in a one-year pilot ending in April 2013.
