| dc.description.abstract | This thesis defends the hypothesis that Turkish science fiction movies are not only the reproductions and adaptations of foreign science fiction movies; they are also the examples of a new subgenre with their own special features. The hypothesis that Turkish science fiction movies are reinterpreted and "localized" with cultural effects has been supported with the analysis of the Turkish science fiction films, made between 1955 and 1987. | en_US |
