Those factors include their conviction in gender equality, their rejection of essentialist beliefs, their familism, and their socialization in their families of origin. PAAm also provides new functionalities after the incorporation of inorganic structures such as molybdenum disulfide (MoS2). During the copolymerization process, the transmittance of all samples reduced significantly after a particular time, referred to as the gel point. Microgels form a tree above the gel point as projected by Flory-Stockmayer classical theory. Because of microgels positioned at the junction points of the Cayley tree, the addition of MoS2 results in strong intramolecular crosslinking and looser composites. Moreover, fractal geometry provides a quantitative measure of randomness and thus permits characterization of random systems such as polymers. Fractal dimension of these polymer composites is calculated from power-law-dependent scattered intensity. It was also confirmed that a hydrogel rapidly formed within a few seconds, indicating a 3D network formation inside the gel. These materials may have a great potential for application in wearable and implantable electronics due to this highly desired 3D self-assemble feature.Article 50. Complete acquisition in the heritage language: Evidence from indefiniteness in Turkish(2023) Yılmaz, Gülsen; Sauermann, AntjeThis study investigates whether adult Turkish heritage speakers are able to refer to entities in discourse as required by semantic contexts. The focus is on the contrasting properties of Turkish (L1) and German (L2) with respect to semantics of indefiniteness, i.e., specificity and partitivity. Turkish morphologically distinguishes between specific/nonspecific and partitive/nonpartitive contexts on the indefinite direct object while German does not. We hypothesized that the Turkish heritage speakers would overgeneralize the unmarked form (bir noun) since this is the default form used in German regardless of the context and also acceptable in all contexts in Turkish. We further hypothesized that, if they ever opt for the case marked form (bir noun+acc), they would also do so incorrectly in nonpartitive and nonspecific contexts. Turkish heritage speakers living in Germany (n= 35) could dissociate semantic contexts and made similar preferences to those of monolingual native speakers of Turkish (n= 30). Our findings suggest that native language (L1) can develop despite early onset of the L2 and be maintained on a par with monolingual norms despite the presence of competing structures in the L2. However, these spaces are not fully investigated for their acoustic performance before being transformed into performance venues. This paper reports on the findings of an initial survey which presents a systematic mapping of the rock-cut caves used as performance spaces to locate, explore and document a sample of structures scattered in this historic district. A typological classification based on volume, size, type of tuff rock material and historical original use has been proposed and an acoustic analysis of some selected rock-cut caves has been carried out. The acoustic analysis included reverberation time calculations and simulations based on apparent volume, and tuff stone absorption characteristics, which were studied by other researchers in the area. © 2023 Aslan et al. Longitudinal data were collected from 8 children between the ages of 8 and 36 months. Peer conversational corpus came from 78 children aged between 43 and 64 months. Children produced RCs later than in English (Diessel, 2004) and Mandarin (Chen & Shirai, 2015), and demonstrated increasing semantic and structural complexity with age. Despite the morphosyntactic difficulty of object RCs, and prior experimental findings showing a subject RC advantage, preschool-aged children produced object RCs, which were highly frequent in child-directed speech, as frequently as subject RCs. Object RCs in spontaneous speech were semantically less demanding (with pronominal subjects and inanimate head nouns) than the stimuli used in prior experiments. These algorithms update the circuit parameters layer-wise through feedback from measuring the qubits in the previous layer to estimate expectations of certain observables. Therefore, the number of samples directly affects the algorithm's performance and may even cause divergence. In this work, we propose an adaptive technique to mitigate the sampling noise by adopting a switching control law in the design of the feedback-based algorithm. The proposed technique can lead to better performance and convergence properties. Augmenting medical images is important for solving data scarcity, increasing data diversity, enhancing robustness and reliability of model and improving training and test results that can be done in medical sciences. In this work we show that Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network with Gradient Penalty (WGAN-GP) can be used for increasing the performance of data classification. To achieve that, we have augmented healthy brain MR images by using WGAN and updated the dataset. The results give that when dataset augmented by WGAN-GP is used as input for CNN-based model to solve age classification problem, accuracy of this model increases to 98,37% from 95,14%. This study evaluates the Transparent Key Management Algorithm utilizing Merkle trees, focusing on its performance and security effectiveness in cryptographic key handling. Methods: The research employs simulated experiments to systematically measure and analyze key operational metrics such as insertion and verification times. Synthetic datasets are used to mimic diverse operational conditions, ensuring rigorous evaluation under varying workloads and security threats. Implementation is carried out using R programming, integrating cryptographic functions and Merkle tree structures for integrity verification. Results: Performance analysis reveals efficient insertion and verification times under normal conditions, essential for operational workflows. Security evaluations demonstrate the algorithm's robustness against tampering, with approximately 95% of keys verified successfully and effective detection of unauthorized modifications. Simulated attack scenarios underscore its resilience in mitigating security threats. Conclusions: The Transparent Key Management Algorithm, enhanced by Merkle trees and cryptographic hashing techniques, proves effective in ensuring data integrity, security, and operational efficiency. Recommendations include continuous monitoring and adaptive algorithms to bolster resilience against evolving cybersecurity challenges, promoting trust and reliability in cryptographic operations. In the long list of FinTechs, one of the most attractive platforms is the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending which aims to bring the investors and borrowers hand in hand, leaving out the traditional intermediaries like banks. The main purpose of a financial institution as an intermediary is of controlling risk and P2P lending platforms innovate and use new ways of risk assessment. In the era of Big Data, using a diverse source of information from spending behaviors of customers, social media behavior, and geographic information along with traditional methods for credit scoring prove to have new insights for the proper and more accurate credit scoring. In this study, we investigate the machine learning techniques on big data platforms, analyzing the credit scoring methods. It has been concluded that on a HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) environment, Logistic Regression performs better than Decision Tree and Random Forest for credit scoring and classification considering performance metrics such as accuracy, precision and recall, and the overall run time of algorithms. Resultantly, it was found that relationship between Al and conductivity is very weak, correlationbetween Al and TOC% is a weak-moderate, the Al accumulation in the SEMBR has a linear relationship with time andthere is a very strong correlation between the two variables (R2= 0.7591). For a standard-compliant VLC network, we analyze the network load and propose an algorithm to improve the network throughput by proper selection of period lengths. In this paper, we investigate the idea of using deep convolutional neural networks and satellite images for channel parameters (i.e., path loss exponent n and shadowing factor sigma) prediction in a cellular network with aerial base stations. Specifically, we investigate the performance dependency of the method on three different factors: height of the transmitter antenna, quantization levels of the channel parameters and architectural design of CNN. The results presented in this paper show a high prediction accuracy of the channel parameters in real-time.Article Citation - WoS: 1An analysis of social media content shared by right-wing extremist groups in the United States, the Great Britain and Australia(Istanbul Univ, Fac Communication, 2023) Baş, Özen; Bas, OzenThe extreme right movements have increasingly appeared on social media, especially on Twitter and Facebook, coinciding with the 2019 New Zealand attack, the 2019 El Paso incident, and Britain's exit from the European Union in 2020. This study examines the content and the form of extreme right-wing activities on Facebook and Twitter to promote their ideologies. A qualitative content analysis was conducted on posts shared by extreme-right groups on public Facebook and Twitter accounts in Great Britain, the United States and Australia. The sample spans from March 15, 2019 to February 5, 2020. The posts were coded according to a coding instrument developed based on the existing literature spreading extremist ideologies on social media. The coding instrument consisted of categories and subcategories such as 'the protection of western values', 'anti-LGBT activism', 'anti-feminism', 'anti-Islam', 'anti-immigrant sentiments', 'fostering the white race', and 'anti-elitist populism'. Findings suggest that the most prevalent extremist ideologies on Facebook and Twitter posts were 'anti-elitist populism' and 'the protection of western values'. Istanbul is a center of trade, tourism, and industry; 60 % of total logistics activities take place in Istanbul. At the same time, capacities, infrastructures, and performance of logistics system are affecting the logistics systems and industries of European countries and neighborhoods. However, solving the urban logistics problems have become regional and global ones and especially European countries, industries, and their commercial actors cannot ignore these problems. In addition to urban freight flows, high volume of international and domestic cargo flows causes different problems related to urban logistics. On the other hand, Istanbul has the different logistics nodes as airports, organized industrial zones, business centers, whereas logistics networks and links between nodes are not required level.
