| dc.description.abstract | Bu tez, 2003 ve 2008 yıllarında kadına yönelik şiddet haberlerinde muhafazakarlık söyleminin seçilmiş üç gazetede nasıl değiştiğini göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Seçilen gazetelere ait haberler niceliksel ve niteliksel olarak incelenmiştir. Kadına yönelik şiddet haberlerinde üç gazetenin aynı olayı farklı yaklaşımlarla haber yaptığı saptanmıştır. Bu yaklaşımlar suçlama, örtme ve abartma olarak özetlenebilir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis aims to show how the three mainstream Turkish newspapers portray violence against women through a discourse of conservatism between 2003 and 2008. News items in these selected newspapers were examined both qualitatively and quantitatively. It is found that three newspapers are reporting same cases of violence against women from three different perspectives. These discursive approaches can be summarized as blame, coverup and exaggeration. | en_US |
