Kültür Varlıklarının Korunması Bağlamında Toplumsal Bellek : Meydanlar (taksim Meydanı Örneği)

Abstract

Korumanin konusu ya da kapsamina giren toplumsal bellegin uretildigi meydanlar tarihsel olarak farkli toplumsal sartlar ve siyasi gelismeler ile dusunce bicimlerinden etkilenmis sadece tarihi veya sanatsal degerleri acisindan degil kent kimligini insa eden ve gecmis ile gelecek arasindaki bilgi aginin surdurulebilmesini saglamalari acisindan da onemlidirler. Bu tezde korunmasi gereken kultur mirasi olarak toplumsal bellek acisindan meydanlarin neden onemli oldugu ve neden “korunmasi” gerektigi incelenirken siyasi otoritenin mudahale araci ve karsi durusun simgesi olmasi surekli devinim halinde bulunmasi Ýstanbul?un kentsel kimligini temsil etmesi hem siyasi ve ekonomik hem de gundelik yasam kulturunun tasiyici mekani olmasi nedeniyle Taksim Meydan?i ornek alinmistir.Public spaces generated by collective memory are historically influenced by different social conditions , political developments and ways of thinking . They are essential not only in terms of their historical or artistic values but also in the formation of the identity of the city and maintaining the network of knowledge between the past and the future. In this thesis, while examining the importance of public spaces as cultural inheritance of collective memory and emphasizing the importance of their perseverance, Taksim Square which is the representative of the daily life culture of the urban identity of Istanbul, was taken as an example due to being the instrument of intervention by the political authority and the symbol of counter-stance, being in constant motion.
